We help thousands of people every month
Our Annual Report for 2016/17 proudly announces the numbers behind our success.
Over 12,500 people contacted us with an enquiry related to a disability or health condition and two thirds asked about more than one topic.
Over 20,000 people visited our websites and many more see our pages on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
We supported over 2,000 disabled individuals to directly employ their own carers. We are providing support to many disabled people who wish to work.
We provided direct payment services on behalf of 1,342 individual employers who manage their own care, and operated 778 holding accounts for those requiring additional support.
In Luton we provide a holistic service and this included support in recruiting 71 Personal Assistants to provide care, cover and access training.
You can easily support our charity simply by hiring our fully-equipped meeting rooms. From £15-£45 per hour. For 2-100 people with on-site parking including 12 dedicated disabled parking bays.
We can help when you have a temporary need for a wheelchair or other equipment like ramps, rollators, crutches and walking frames. We have both self-propelling wheelchairs (with large rear wheels) and attendant-controlled chairs (four small wheels, helper to push).
This service provides up-to-date information and advice to people of any age and with any disability, older people, their families, carers, friends and associated professionals throughout Bedfordshire and Luton.
Please refer to our terms and conditions.
